Job summary

Tractebel is seeking a Site Inspector - Electrical for a renewables project based at site in Al Khushaybi, Qassim Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Owner's Engineer oversight covers design review, construction supervision, testing and commissioning for a 500 MW BESS IPP project developed with SPPC.

Role focuses on on-site electrical inspections, quality surveillance and conformance to ITPs, with regular reporting and documentation in Procore to support QA objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Experience with BESS projects is preferred in KSA.
• Utility-scale BESS experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and surveillance activities in accordance with approved ITPs.
• Attend and document Hold & Witness points.
• Conduct daily and spot quality inspections on site works.
• Raise observations and NCRs where non-conformities are identified.
• Verify corrective actions before closure.
• Ensure inspection records are uploaded and traceable in Procore.
• Report findings to Site Quality Manager.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

Substation & utility BESS related Experience in KSA preferred

Must have Utility Scale BESS experience

Job Summary

Tractebel has been appointed as the Owner's Engineer for the Al Khushaybi Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Independent Power Project (IPP) in the Al Qassim Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project is being developed by ENGIE and its consortium partners under the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) Battery Energy Storage Program. The Al Khushaybi BESS facility has a capacity of 500 MW with 4 hours of storage duration(2,000MWh).

As Owner's Engineer, Tractebel is responsible for providing independent technical oversight and assurance throughout the project lifecycle, including design review, engineering management, technology assessment, construction supervision, testing and commissioning support, and verification of compliance with contractual, regulatory, and international technical standards.
