Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Security Operations Engineer based in Saudi Arabia to lead and advance our security operations capabilities. The role blends security operations, software engineering, and site reliability to protect complex infrastructure.

You will design and automate security platforms, mentor engineers, and drive proactive defense across a distributed, agile team while contributing to open source security initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience across cybersecurity and/or software engineering.
• Security operations experience, ideally leading a SOC.
• Strong software engineering background for building security tools.
• Proficiency with Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Git, GitOps, IaC and modern orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001 is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and technical leadership across security operations initiatives.
• Design, build, deploy, and operate security software, platforms, and tooling.
• Monitor security environments, identify threats, investigate incidents, and drive remediation.
• Assess and improve security controls to strengthen posture.
• Automate security processes using software engineering and SRE practices.
• Mentor early‑career Security Operations engineers and support their development.
• Plan and deliver security initiatives within an agile framework.
• Collaborate across engineering and security teams to tackle complex challenges.
• Contribute to open source security projects and knowledge sharing.
