Sales Engineer – Smart Solutions & Emerging Technologies

Job Purpose
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing business opportunities for Smart Way Group’s advanced technology solutions. The role combines technical expertise with strong sales capabilities to drive growth in areas such as smart security, AI, robotics, and intelligent systems. The candidate will also support pre‑sales activities, including RFP responses, technical proposals, and solution design.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business opportunities for Smart Way Group’s IT and smart technology solutions.
- Promote and sell solutions, including (but not limited to):
- Robotic & AI‑Based Solutions
- Smart Security Electronic Locks (E‑Locks)
- Engage with clients to understand business and technical requirements and propose suitable solutions.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of the solution.
- Analyze and respond to RFPs, RFQs, and tenders with complete technical and commercial inputs.
- Prepare high‑quality technical proposals, solution architectures, and compliance documents.
- Design end‑to‑end solutions aligned with client requirements and industry standards.
- Develop technical diagrams, system architecture drawings, and workflows to support proposals and presentations.
- Provide technical clarifications during client evaluations and bid processes.
- Create system designs, network diagrams, and integration models using standard tools.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with client and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain updated documentation for products, solutions, and technical offerings.
Market & Product Knowledge
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, smart city solutions, AI, robotics, and security systems.
- Analyze market trends, competitors, and customer needs to enhance solution offerings.
- Provide feedback to management on market demands and product improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, IT, Computer Science, or related field).
Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in a Sales Engineer or Pre‑Sales role within IT, security, or smart technology solutions.
- Proven experience in handling RFPs, technical proposals, and solution design.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- Smart security systems and electronic access control
- AI, robotics, and IoT‑based solutions
- Queue management and video‑based systems
- Ability to create technical diagrams and system architectures (Visio, Draw.io, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
- Knowledge of networking basics, system integration, and data security is an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers.
- Self‑driven, target‑oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with government or enterprise tenders.
- Knowledge of smart city projects and public safety solutions.
- Experience in the Middle East market is a plus.
