Job summary

ACWA Power is seeking an experienced Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer to oversee robotic system maintenance at the Bisha PV plant. You will operate, monitor and maintain robotic panels and associated electrical controls, driving reliability and safety improvements.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical maintenance, industrial automation or robotics, with PLC/SCADA experience and strong fault-diagnosis skills. Relevant certifications and Saudi practice are advantageous.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, Automation or related discipline.
Saudi Council of Engineers registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate, monitor, inspect and maintain robotic systems across the solar PV plant.
Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance activities per approved plans.
Diagnose electrical and control faults involving motors, drives, sensors, batteries, charging systems, and SCADA.
Monitor system performance, alarms and data to identify issues and improvements.
Troubleshoot communication failures between robots, control stations and SCADA systems.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with OEMs, contractors and internal teams for support, upgrades, and warranty.
Review electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, manuals, and procedures.
Maintain records of inspections, breakdowns, maintenance and parts usage.
Ensure spare parts availability and inventory planning for robotics equipment.
Participate in testing, commissioning and firmware upgrades.
Identify opportunities to improve reliability, energy use and maintenance costs.
Ensure compliance with HSE, LOTO and permit-to-work procedures.
Provide technical guidance and training to technicians.
