Job summary

DAR AL RIYADH is seeking an experienced Senior Road Engineer specializing in roads and grading to lead the design phase of road infrastructure projects. The role requires a strong civil engineering design background and proficiency in CAD software.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with standards and client expectations while delivering high-quality, constructible designs for transportation networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of civil engineering design experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation).
• Strong knowledge of pavement design, earthwork, and drainage.
• Experience with AASHTO, ASTM, and local guidelines.
• Leadership and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for road and grading projects from concept to detailed design.
• Perform site assessments, feasibility studies, and analyses to inform designs.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications using CAD tools.
• Conduct pavement, earthwork, drainage, and geometric design calculations.
• Coordinate with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and other specialists.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
• Evaluate design alternatives and advise on cost-effectiveness and constructability.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Participate in design reviews and client presentations.
• Assist procurement with design documentation and cost estimates.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
