Job summary

Mace is expanding its rail capability across the Middle East and seeks a senior risk management professional to lead risk across major rail and infrastructure programmes in a fast-paced environment.

You will direct risk processes, run workshops, and deliver quantitative risk analyses while mentoring teams and supporting a carbon reduction agenda as part of a broader delivery portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver risk management across assigned commissions.
• Advise clients, consultants and teams on risk matters and build relationships.
• Guide risk processes: identification, assessment, escalation and management.
• Facilitate risk workshops with project managers to identify mitigation strategies.
• Ensure risk mitigation plans have owners and are tracked in project plans.
• Lead quantitative risk analysis for cost and schedule and assess contingencies.
• Produce risk reports for clients and internal teams within governance frameworks.
• Mentor team members, support resource planning, and promote sustainability including carbon reduction.
• Collaborate towards net zero carbon transition during delivery.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Accountable for leading and delivering risk management performance across assigned commissions, including development and implementation of effective risk frameworks and strategies.
• Directs clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams on all risk-related matters while building strong professional relationships and meeting client expectations.
• Provides expert guidance on risk processes, ensuring effective identification, assessment, escalation, and management of risks impacting key project objectives.
• Facilitates and leads risk workshops, working with project managers to identify opportunities, mitigation strategies, and minimise overall risk exposure.
• Ensures risk mitigation plans are developed, ownership is assigned, and actions are tracked and integrated into project plans.
• Leads the delivery of quantitative risk analysis for cost and schedule, including assessment of contingency adequacy within regular reporting cycles.
• Produces and presents comprehensive risk reports to both clients and internal teams, ensuring compliance with governance frameworks and relevant legislation.
• Manages and mentors team members, supports resource planning and recruitment, integrates risk with planning and PMO functions, and promotes sustainability objectives including carbon reduction.
• Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
