Job summary

Mace is delivering a major Saudi Arabia development programme and seeking a leader to drive technical excellence across engineering, design management, and delivery governance on this landmark project.

You will lead integrated teams, oversee risk and quality across multiple disciplines, and shape procurement and programme strategy to achieve ambitious outcomes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in technical leadership, engineering management, design management, or infrastructure delivery on major projects.
• Strong understanding of technical governance, assurance processes, risk management, and multidisciplinary project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver annual business plan outcomes within agreed deadlines and budgets.
• Lead and manage technical resources, providing direction, guidance, and oversight across projects and programme activities.
• Present management reviews and KPIs to project and functional leadership teams.
• Support business development, work-winning initiatives, and delivery of technical training and capability development programmes.
• Ensure compliance with management systems, technical governance requirements, project standards, and defined roles and responsibilities.
• Act as the primary focal point for design-related matters and drive improvements to design management processes and delivery plans.
• Influence procurement strategies, contractual and legal considerations, and collaborate with PMO teams to ensure coordinated project delivery.
• Promote technical excellence, leverage knowledge networks and centres of excellence, and support net zero carbon objectives through proactive carbon management and reduction initiatives.

The Project

This is an opportunity to work on one of the largest programmes in Saudi Arabia. This unique project consists of major mixed-use development including sports facilities, entertainment, and arts along with all associated infrastructure.

You’ll Be Responsible For

• Develop and deliver annual business plan outcomes within agreed deadlines and budgets.

You’ll Need To Have

• Educated to degree level in Engineering, Environmental Science, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent).
• Extensive experience in technical leadership, engineering management, design management, or infrastructure delivery on major projects.
• Strong understanding of technical governance, assurance processes, risk management, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
