Job summary

Nesma & Partners Contracting Company Ltd. in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Rigging Engineer to develop and implement rigging plans, provide technical lifting expertise, and ensure safety compliant execution of heavy lifts on site.

The role requires coordinating with project teams, reviewing MOS, and optimizing lifting methods for onshore and offshore environments while adhering to BS, ASME, API, and LOLER standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifting operations and rigging planning.
• Knowledge of safety standards and lifting codes.
• Ability to read technical drawings and plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review lifting plans and detailed lifting studies during FEED and execution phases.
• Perform constructability reviews to optimize lifting methods and select appropriate equipment.
• Coordinate lifting schedules with project teams, ensuring alignment with material deliveries and erection timelines.
• Evaluate, approve, and enforce MOS for lifting activities.
• Supervise and monitor the safe execution of heavy lifting operations on site.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, project specs, and lifting standards.
• Support tendering with technical input on heavy lifting scopes.
• Manage lifting ops for steel structure erection and equipment installation.
• Interface with crane suppliers and logistics teams for mobilization/demobilization.
• Maintain documentation, inspection records, and certifications for lifting activities.
• Execute onshore and offshore lifting ops in brownfield and greenfield environments.
• Apply international codes (BS, ASME, API, LOLER) in rigging activities.
• Use lifting simulation software and AutoCAD to design/validate lifting plans.
• Assess and optimize crane capacities and rigging techniques for safe execution.
