Job summary

Qureos in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage cost control across projects. You will prepare estimates, analyze budgets, and ensure cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with the project team to keep projects within budget and quality standards.

The role demands a minimum 10 years of experience in quantity surveying, deep knowledge of costs, contracts, and construction methods, plus strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in quantity surveying in the construction industry, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• In-depth knowledge of construction costs, contracts, and methods.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and industry-specific software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Experience in precast/pre-stressed concrete projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects
• Analyze and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to the project team
• Identify potential cost-saving measures and suggest alternatives
• Prepare and review variation orders and claims
• Conduct site visits to assess progress and ensure compliance with budget and contract specifications
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve any cost-related issues
• Maintain accurate records of all cost-related activities
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in construction costs
