Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field; MRICS preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry, preferably in an engineering consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, including FIDIC and other relevant standards.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects and budgets effectively.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong leadership qualities.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage quantity surveying for multiple projects from inception to completion.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide financial advice on project decisions.
• Monitor project progress and costs to ensure budget compliance.
• Prepare and submit tender documents, including bills of quantities and contract documents.
• Negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors.
• Provide regular reports on project financial performance and forecasts.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate financial risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure cost control.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with stakeholders to address financial and contractual issues.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards in quantity surveying practices.
