Qualifications

• 10+ years total professional experience in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management.
• 4+ years in a recognized engineering consultancy environment.
• Demonstrated pre-contract and post-contract experience on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration and final account management.
• Extensive experience with FIDIC contracts and contract management principles.
• Proven ability to manage variations, claims and commercial negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Contract: prepare cost estimates, cost plans, feasibility studies and budget forecasts; develop procurement strategies and tender documentation; manage tender evaluations; deliver value engineering and cost optimization; support negotiations; collaborate with project teams for commercial planning.
• Post-Contract: administer contracts; review and certify contractor payments and valuations; assess variations, claims and extensions of time; monitor project costs, budgets and cash flow; prepare reports for clients and stakeholders; manage final accounts and close-out; mitigate risks and support dispute avoidance; maintain relationships with clients and contractors.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
