Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the NEOM project, providing contractual leadership across a major programme.

You will manage cost control, measurements, payments, variations and contract administration while collaborating with project teams to ensure successful delivery and commercial performance.

Qualifications

  • Chartered status preferred.
  • 10+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience, including 5+ years on infrastructure projects and 3+ years in the Middle East.
  • Strong expertise in estimating, measurement and remeasurement with knowledge of contracts, documentation, drawings and specs.
  • Proven ability to lead Quantity Surveying teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the financial and contractual aspects of multiple work packages.
  • Prepare and review monthly cost reports and final accounts.
  • Coordinate commercial processes and contract administration with project teams.
  • Verify measurements and monitor contractor payments and valuations.
  • Advise on contractor resource allocation and utilization.

About The Opportunity

Looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and contractual management of major construction projects. The role involves cost control, remeasurements, payment certifications, variations, and contract administration while working closely with project teams to ensure successful project delivery and commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the financial and contractual aspects of the multiple work packages
  • Participate, record and usually prepare the minutes of the progress meetings.
  • Provide support on all financial and contractual matters throughout the course of the work in the multiple work packages.
  • Finalize the multiple package Contractor’s monthly payment certificates with the assistance of the QS’s.
  • Make sure that all cost and quantity records are streamlined and kept in order by the QS’s.
  • Advise the SRE and RE’s on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
  • Evaluate the unit rates for new work items with assistance by the QS’s.
  • Establish the way of recording the details and monitor the day works recording and process.
  • Advise on contractor resource allocation and utilization
  • Prepare monthly financial and cost reports
  • Review and audit contractor payments and valuations
  • Verify measurements and completed works
  • Monitor project costs and expenditure records
  • Coordinate team activities and commercial processes. Prepare and finalize project Final Accounts.
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Chartered status preferred
  • 10+ years’ Quantity Surveying experience, including 5+ years on infrastructure projects and 3+ years in the Middle East.

  • Proficient in QS software and digital tools
