Job summary

Hill International, Inc. in Riyadh seeks an experienced Risk Manager to lead program risk management across major construction projects.

You will develop standards, manage risk plans, identify and report risks, and oversee risk registers and databases while training staff and ensuring compliance with corporate policies. Qualifications

• Bachelor in engineering / management from an accredited university.
• 20+ years’ experience in engineering and/or project management with risk manager on large projects.
• Experience identifying problems, assessing options and delivering solutions.
• Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
• Experience with commercial risk management practices and procedures, preferably within the cluster context.
• Experience with risk quantification (cost / schedule / quality / safety).
• Experience maintaining risk databases (e.g., ARM).
• Experience with corporate risk management procedures.
• International experience; KSA experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Developing risk management standards, policies and procedures.
• Establishing and managing the program risk management plan.
• Identifying, assessing, monitoring and reporting risks within the project.
• Creating Risk reports for Project Managers.
• Reviewing the accuracy of risk scoring and adequacy of risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitating the completion and updating of Project Risk Register.
• Analyzing and monitoring the progress of management actions by each risk owner.
• Training and educating the project staff to create continuous awareness for risk management.
• Taking ownership for Risk Database.
• Generating the monthly reports for risk meetings with client’s representatives.
• Preparing ad-hoc risk management reports as and when required.
• Prepare and implement a risk management plan for construction projects outlining the processes to mitigate risks.
• Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International, and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
• Conducting Risk Workshops.
• Conducting Risk Assessments on projects during the execution phase.
• Meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues arising from different phases in the project lifecycle.
