Job summary

Durucooperation is seeking a Senior Process Engineer for our Rabigh refinery/processing units in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will bring 10+ years of hands-on hydrocarbon processing experience, SRU, Sour Gas/Tail Gas treatment, and sulfur handling, aligned with Saudi Aramco standards.

The role requires strong process engineering skills to optimize downstream operations, ensure HSE compliance, and coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, and Inspection teams for safe plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with 10+ years in refinery or process plants.
• Hands-on experience with hydrocarbon processing units and sulfur recovery processes.
• Saudi Aramco standards knowledge (SAEP/SAMS/SAES) is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for running refinery and hydrocarbon processing units.

We are seeking a Senior Process Engineer with 10+ years of refinery experience to support running plant operations in Rabigh. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in hydrocarbon processing, SRU, Sour Gas Treatment, Tail Gas Treatment, sulfur production and elemental sulfur handling, along with proven experience in downstream refinery operations and Saudi Aramco standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide process engineering support for running refinery and hydrocarbon processing units.

• Monitor plant performance, process parameters, production targets and operational efficiency.

• Troubleshoot process and equipment-related issues and recommend corrective actions.

• Demonstrate working knowledge of SRU, Sour Gas Treatment, Tail Gas Treatment, sulfur recovery/production and sulfur handling.

• Support operation and optimization of pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, distillation columns and other process equipment.

• Apply process engineering principles across downstream operations involving stabilized crude oil and compressed gas to produce refined fuels and petrochemical products.

• Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and Saudi Aramco engineering standards.

• Review process conditions, identify operational bottlenecks and recommend optimization opportunities.

• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Inspection and other technical teams for safe and reliable plant operation.

• Prepare/review technical documentation, process calculations, operating procedures and troubleshooting recommendations as required.

Mandatory Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering.

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in refinery/process plants.

• Hands-on experience in petroleum/hydrocarbon processing units.

• Strong experience in SRU, Sour Gas Treatment, Tail Gas Treatment, sulfur production and elemental sulfur handling.

• Proven downstream oil & gas/refinery experience, including production of refined fuels such as gasoline, diesel and kerosene.

• Knowledge of hydrocarbon/petrochemical processing from stabilized compressed gas.

• Recent Saudi Aramco project/plant experience is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of Saudi Aramco standards: SAEP, SAMS and SAES.

• Strong understanding of refinery operations, process troubleshooting and HSE compliance.
