Job summary

alfanar is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the engineering, coordination, execution, testing and commissioning activities for EHV/HV substation projects (110kV-380kV) in Saudi Arabia. You will manage the full engineering lifecycle from design development to handover, ensuring quality, safety and contractual compliance.

The role requires strong experience with SEC/National Grid projects, engineering management, and effective stakeholder coordination to deliver high voltage substations

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in EHV/HV substations.
5+ years in a Senior Project Engineer role.
Experience with SEC, National Grid projects in Saudi Arabia.
Involvement across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and closeout.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering activities from design to closeout.
Manage engineering schedules, deliverables, approvals, and interfaces.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, OEMs, vendors, and internal teams.
Ensure compliance with SEC, National Grid and IEC standards.
Prepare commissioning readiness plans and QA/QC documentation.
Coordinate FAT, SAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning and energization.
