Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and actively participate in engineering activities for assigned portion including supervision of engineers of disciplines.
• Assist in developing the project scope, procurement schedules and coordination with project manager.
• Review design drawings/documents, approve change orders, material take-offs and material specifications for procurement use.
• Supervise the preparation of reviews and endorse the bid analysis.
• Communicates complex technical issues and recommends solutions to upper management.

Job Skills

• Master or Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning and Urban Design.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience
• Familiarity with local trends, planning practices and standards, theories, methodologies and skills.
• Structure planning, population projections, transit-oriented development, subdivision design, planning regulations, urban planning policies and approaches.
• Good grasp of community design principles and urban planning, urban design for open and closed communities.
• Understanding of sustainable urban planning and design policies.
• Knowledge of construction practice and economics involved and nee methods of design and construction.
• Requires a broad knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, and design criteria pertinent to architectural work.
• Excellent English communication skills and Arabic language is a plus.
• Project experience in the Middle East and Saudi Arabia is a plus.
• Experience in traffic, transportation planning, parking design standard & policies and landscape design.
• LEED accreditation a plus.
