Job summary

MBRF Global Foods Company S.A. invites a senior microbiology professional in Jeddah to lead laboratory testing and quality control activities. You will ensure sampling plans, perform analyses, and generate reports that inform product quality decisions.

Ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in a related field with 5+ years of microbiology experience, strong ISO 17025 knowledge, and proficiency in LIMS and SAP. Relocation to Jeddah is welcomed for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Food Technology, Veterinary Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in microbiology, lab operations, food quality, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements and lab quality management systems.
• Business-level English; Arabic is advantageous; Portuguese is a plus.
• Experience with LIMS and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and test samples following sampling plans and ISO standards.
• Perform microbiological analysis of products, materials, water, and surfaces.
• Review results and communicate deviations to QA and stakeholders.
• Prepare and authorize lab reports and maintain test records.
• Coordinate testing activities to ensure timely results.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and traceability in LIMS and SAP.
• Support proficiency testing, external labs, validations, and audits.
• Collaborate with Production, QA, R&D on new products and quality initiatives.
• Contribute to ISO 17025 compliance and GLP/QMS improvements.
• Ensure equipment calibration and proper resource management.
• Promote safe, compliant laboratory environment following food safety requirements.
• Provide training and guidance on new methodologies.
