Job summary

MBRF is seeking a skilled microbiology professional to join its global quality team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. You will receive, test, and analyze samples, ensuring ISO 17025 compliance and providing data-driven insights to support decisions.

You should hold a Bachelor's in Microbiology with at least five years of lab experience, and have hands-on experience with LIMS and SAP. Strong English is required; Arabic is a plus. Relocation to Jeddah is expected and a competitive package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in microbiology, laboratory operations, food quality, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 17025 requirements and laboratory quality management systems.
• Business-level English; Arabic is an advantage; Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prepare, and test samples in accordance with approved sampling plans, laboratory procedures, ISO requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Perform microbiological analysis of finished products, raw materials, ingredients, water, surfaces, air, rework, and other relevant samples with full traceability.
• Review, interpret, and evaluate laboratory results against established standards, communicating findings to QA and relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and authorize laboratory reports, maintain accurate test records, and provide insights to support business decisions.
• Coordinate testing activities to ensure timely results and support investigations into quality issues.
• Maintain laboratory documentation and traceability through LIMS, SAP, and other QMS.
• Support proficiency testing, external activities, validation studies, and technical audits.
• Partner with Production, QA, R&D to support new product development and supplier quality initiatives.
