Job summary

Confidential in Construction Company is seeking a Senior MEP Project Manager to lead all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for a luxury 5-star hotel construction project. You will ensure design, installation, testing, commissioning, and handover meet specs, quality standards, budgets, and schedules.

The role requires extensive experience in senior MEP management and familiarity with international hotel brand standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• PMP Certification preferred.
• Professional Engineering registration or equivalent is an advantage.
• Additional certifications in project management, commissioning, or MEP systems are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all MEP works throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and monitor MEP execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Ensure timely completion of MEP works in alignment with overall project milestones.
• Coordinate with project directors, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives.
• Review and approve MEP shop drawings, technical submittals, material approvals, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards, and project specifications.
• Resolve technical issues and coordinate design interfaces among mechanical, electrical, plumbing, ELV, and fire protection systems.
• Conduct value engineering exercises to optimize costs without compromising quality.
• Monitor site activities and ensure adherence to approved drawings and specifications.
• Manage subcontractor performance and ensure productivity targets are met.
• Conduct site inspections and progress reviews.
• Ensure efficient coordination between MEP and civil, architectural, and structural disciplines.
• Lead testing and commissioning activities for all MEP systems.
• Ensure snag-free handover of MEP systems to the client.
• Manage O&M manuals, as-built drawings, training, and final documentation.
• Support project closeout and defects liability period activities.
• Promote a strong safety culture and QA/QC procedures on all MEP teams.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• PMP Certification preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in construction projects.
• At least 5 years in a senior MEP management role.
• Proven experience delivering luxury hospitality projects, 5-star hotels, resorts, or mixed-use developments.
• Experience managing large-scale MEP packages valued above SAR 100 million.
• Strong knowledge of international hotel brand standards such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, or Accor requirements.
