Job summary

Sofomation Energy is seeking a Projects Mechanical/ Piping/ Welding Inspector in Saudi Arabia. Ideal candidates hold B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with CSWIP 3.2.2 and ASNT NDT Level II across RT/UT/MT/PT, plus BGAS 2 painting inspection.

Minimum 8 years for degree holders or 12 years for diploma holders, with strong offshore/onshore inspection experience and ability to interpret drawings, data sheets, and P.O. requirements. LNG project backgrounds are desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• CSWIP 3.2.2 Senior Welding Inspector (TWI)
• BGAS Grade 2 Painting Inspector favored
• ASNT NDT Level II RT, UT, MPT & LPT

Responsibilities

• Familiar with ISO9001 quality assurance principles and practices.
• Experience as inspection personnel for Oil & Gas projects, preferably LNG.
• Experience in inspection during procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up and commissioning of facilities.
• Extensive experience in offshore and onshore piping, valves, static and rotating equipment inspection.
• Hot-tap experience.
• Knowledge of cryogenic service requirements.
• Interpret Isometric drawings, P&IDs, material standards, specifications and P.O. requirements.
• Interpret radiographs of welds and be conversant with NDT techniques RT/UT/MT/PT.
