Job summary

SGS is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Inspection Engineer in Saudi Arabia to perform comprehensive inspections of pressure vessels, storage tanks and piping systems to ensure adherence to codes and standards.

The role requires CSWIP 3.2 and API 570 certifications, along with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or 12 years with a Diploma. You will mentor junior inspectors and coordinate with QA/QC teams to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of inspection experience or 12 years with a 2-year diploma.
• Mandatory CSWIP 3.2 and API 570 certifications.
• Valid Saudi driving licence required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of applicable international standards and QA/QC practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive inspections of pressure vessels, storage tanks, piping systems and mechanical components for compliance with project specs and standards.
• Perform welding inspections per CSWIP 3.2, including visual checks and defect identification.
• Review fabrication, erection and maintenance procedures for conformance with drawings and standards.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports, NCRs and corrective action recommendations.
• Coordinate with project engineers, QA/QC teams and contractors to resolve inspection issues.

Conduct comprehensive inspections of pressure vessels storage tanks piping systems and mechanical components to ensure compliance with project specifications codes and standards Perform welding inspections in accordance with CSWIP 3 2 standards including visual inspections dimensional checks and defect identification Conduct in-service inspection assessment and certification of pressure vessels API 510 and storage tanks API 653 Review fabrication erection and maintenance procedures for compliance with engineering drawings and standards Prepare detailed inspection reports non-conformance reports NCRs and recommendations for corrective actions Coordinate with project engineers QA QC teams and contractors to ensure timely and effective resolution of inspection issues Mentor and guide junior inspectors to enhance inspection quality and compliance awareness Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards codes and best practices relevant to oil and gas mechanical inspections

Qualifications

BE BTech in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of inspection experience; OR 2-year Industrial/Technical College Diploma with a minimum of 12 years of inspection experience. Mandatory Certifications: Valid CSWIP 3.2 and API 570 certifications. Both certifications are compulsory. Driving Licence: Valid Saudi driving licence is mandatory.
