Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Mechanical SME to act as the technical authority for mechanical engineering across bridge and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will lead design reviews, coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, ITS and architectural teams, and guide construction, testing, and handover activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Professional Engineer (PE) status highly desirable.
• Membership with recognized institutions such as IMechE, ASME, or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as the lead Mechanical SME for the Clients and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Review, validate, and coordinate mechanical designs, calculations, and submissions.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, ITS, and other disciplines.
• Monitor construction activities and verify compliance with designs.
• Lead testing and commissioning, including FAT/SAT and integration with control systems.
• Manage risk assessments and constructability reviews.
