Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Senior Mechanical SME to lead all mechanical engineering aspects for major infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. You will guide design reviews, construction supervision, FAT/SAT, and handover while coordinating across civil, electrical, ITS and architectural disciplines.

Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, possibly an advanced degree, and are chartered or professionally recognised with 15+ years of infra project experience, including mega projects above

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Master's degree preferred in related fields.
• Chartered Engineer or PE status highly desirable.
• Membership with recognized professional bodies preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering experience on major infra projects.
• Experience on mega infrastructure projects valued over USD 250 million is preferred.
• GCC and Saudi Arabia project experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead Mechanical SME for design review, construction supervision, testing, commissioning, and handover of bridge and infrastructure mechanical systems.
• Provide technical guidance to project management, engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Review mechanical designs, calculations, and submissions to ensure compliance with standards and client guidelines.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, electrical, ITS, utility, traffic and architectural disciplines to resolve interfaces.
• Lead testing, FAT/SAT oversight, and ensure system integration with electrical and control systems.
• Monitor construction activities and verify installation quality against approved designs.
• Ensure project quality plans, ITPs, NCR handling and asset maintainability considerations.
