Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Principal Supervising Engineer - Mechanical to lead the Mechanical Engineering Unit, ensuring technical quality and compliance with codes across facilities projects in the region.

The role requires extensive experience in mechanical systems design, strong leadership, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM within a multi-disciplinary team environment. English communication skills are essential for effective coordination and reporting.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Design or related field from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in mechanical systems design for facilities, power/desalination plants.
• At least 8 years as a discipline team lead or manager.
• Experience in the Middle East and knowledge of SBC codes is advantageous.
• Registration in a US PE or UK Chartered Engineer status is required.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written).
• Experience applying North American Codes and Standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit and BIM environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Mechanical Engineering Unit to ensure technical adequacy and quality of work.
• Provide technical guidance to project teams and cross-discipline groups.
• Prepare technical specifications and scope of work documents.
• Conduct field reviews and provide site support during construction.
• Represent the discipline at project and inter-discipline meetings.
• Coordinate with other divisions to ensure interface compatibility.
• Review contractor drawings and calculations for compliance with standards.
• Lead pre-bid seminars, bid evaluations, and post-award meetings.
