Job summary

Tractebel in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Irrigation & Pumps) to lead design reviews, planning, supervision, and execution of irrigation networks, pumping stations, and related mechanical infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety protocols, and project timelines while coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Electromechanical engineering, at least 10 years in pumping stations and irrigation

Qualifications

Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred.
10+ years in pumping stations, irrigation systems and related construction.
Strong knowledge of pumping systems, hydraulics, valves, piping and commissioning.
Proficient CAD, hydraulics tools, and MS Office; fluent in Arabic and English.

Responsibilities

Lead technical review and supervision of irrigation systems and pumping stations.
Review drawings, pump calculations, datasheets, and commissioning procedures.
Assess pump selection, hydraulic performance, piping layouts, and control interfaces.
Coordinate with civil, electrical, instrumentation and utility disciplines.
Provide guidance to engineers and inspectors; resolve design and installation issues.
Monitor progress, conduct site inspections, ensure safety and quality compliance.
Oversee testing, commissioning, handover deliverables and as-built docs.
Prepare reports, risk assessments and progress updates for clients.
