Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Riyadh seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead supervision on large infrastructure projects including tunnels, bridges, and highways.

You will review designs, ensure MEP compliance, and coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams on-site. The role requires 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in the GCC, and a strong background in tunnel/road infrastructure, NFPA/ASHRAE/ISO standards, and English communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required; Master’s preferred.
• 15+ years of experience, with at least 5 years in the GCC on infrastructure/transportation projects.
• Mandatory experience with a construction supervision consultant.
• Proven experience in tunnels, bridges, highways, and road infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of MEP installations in tunnel/road projects.
• Familiarity with NFPA, ASHRAE, EN, BS, and ISO standards.
• Excellent written and verbal English communications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect mechanical works (tunnel ventilation, firefighting systems, drainage pumps, lighting) on infrastructure projects.
• Review and comment on design submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for mechanical systems.
• Ensure installations conform to project standards and codes; coordinate with civil/electrical/structural teams on-site.
• Monitor progress, flag deviations, and lead resolution of mechanical issues.
• Attend progress and technical meetings; report to client and project team.
• Ensure HSE compliance for all mechanical aspects; lead inspections and testing of systems.
• Support change requests, claims, and variations related to mechanical scope.
• Assist in handover documents and commissioning plans.
