Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Riyadh seeks a Senior Bridge Engineer to oversee design review, construction supervision, inspection, and QA of major road and highway bridge works.

The role requires extensive experience in bridge engineering, construction methodologies, quality assurance, and coordination with contractors, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant delivery on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with specialization in Structural or Bridge Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent is advantageous.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in bridge/structural engineering.
• 8+ years on major Roads & Highways infrastructure projects.
• Experience with GCC and Saudi Arabia projects preferred.
• Proficiency in MIDAS Civil, SAP2000, STAAD Pro, CSI Bridge, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Review bridge designs, shop drawings, and construction documents submitted by contractors.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, design criteria, and Saudi standards.
• Evaluate design modifications and value engineering proposals.
• Provide technical guidance on structural and bridge engineering issues.
• Supervise construction activities for bridges, flyovers, interchanges, and related structures.
• Monitor construction methodologies to ensure safety and integrity.
• Verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers, Highway Engineers, Contractors, and Clients.
• Participate in technical meetings and interface with design teams to resolve challenges.
• Promote and enforce project HSE requirements.
• Monitor progress and prepare weekly/monthly technical reports.
• Review variations, RFIs, and payment certificates with commercial teams.
