Job summary

EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced Senior Mechanical Designer, Mining to join our Riyadh team. You will lead a project team of designers, develop mechanical layouts and plant designs for mining projects using Microstation V8, E3D, AutoCAD, and 2D/3D tools.

You will support Bentley software, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure deliverables align with Saudi engineering standards. 6+ years in heavy industrial design are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in heavy industrial design and layout; EPCM experience preferred.
• Technical college graduate in Mechanical Engineering with mining/mineral industry exposure.
• Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Design experience in consulting; preference for Mineral Mining projects.
• Minimum of 4 years experience with Bentley, OpenPlant, or 3D Microstation.
• Solid understanding of design, Saudi engineering codes and technical standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, CAD, and BIM tools.
• Knowledge of mining-related processes.

Responsibilities

• Be the working lead for a project team of designers.
• Produce mechanical layouts and plant designs using Microstation V8, E3D, AutoCAD, and 2D/3D tools for mining projects.
• Extract drawings from a 3-D model.
• Collaborate positively within a team.

EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile, experienced, and reliable "Senior Mechanical Designer, Mining". You’ll join our collaborative Mining team, working alongside multidisciplinary professionals to deliver practical, innovative solutions for complex mining projects.

Job Requirements and Description

• Ability to be a working lead for a project team of designers forming a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to produce mechanical layouts and plant design using Microstation V8, E3D, AutoCAD, 2-D and 3-D tools for mining projects.
• Ability to extract drawings from a 3-D model.
• Ability to work and communicate positively within a team.
• Provide support to our systems and tools including the Bentley Suite of software (OpenPlant Modeler, OpenPlant P&ID, etc.).
• Provide regular feedback to the Overall Mechanical Engineering Lead on progress with the preparation of deliverables.

Background and Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a heavy industrial design and layout, EPCM environment is preferred.
• Technical college graduate in Mechanical Engineering with experience in mining and mineral or similar industries.
• Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Design experience, preferably in the consulting industry, (preference will be given to those candidates with experience in Mineral Mining projects).
• Minimum of 4 years experience with Bentley, Openplant, or 3D Microstation.
• Sound understanding of design, Saudi engineering codes and technical standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.), CAD, and BIM tools.
• Knowledge of mining-related processes.

• Professionalism: Appropriate written and verbal communications skills.
• Professional presentation external and internal to office. (IE: attire, engagement, meeting prep, etc.)
• Demonstrates presentation skills through internal and external technical presentations and white papers.
