Job summary

EXP Arabia is seeking a versatile Senior Structural Designer, Mining, to join our Riyadh team. You will deliver structural design and drawings for mining projects using MicroStation and AutoCAD, while mentoring junior designers and coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of mining/industrial experience, strong knowledge of Saudi codes, and proficiency in 3D/2D modeling and related software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, Revit).

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years structural design experience in mining or industrial projects.
• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Extensive Structural Steel and Reinforced Concrete 3D and 2D modeling and drawing software experience.
• AutoCAD, MicroStation experience required. Civil 3D and Revit experience an asset.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

Responsibilities

• Producing aspects of structural design and drawings in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Undertake the detailed working drawings of steel, concrete and site plans.
• Prepare conceptual layout drawings and develop construction details.
• Participate in discipline drawing review process and multi-disciplinary drawing reviews.
• Assist in the preparation of technical specs, reports and sketches.
• Site visits to get measurements and related information as required.
• Perform Project Management and Construction Supervision tasks as required.
• Supervise and mentor junior designers in the preparation of drawings.

Job Requirements and Description

Background and Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years Structural Design experience in mining or industrial projects.
• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• Extensive Structural Steel and Reinforced Concrete 3D and 2D structural modeling and drawing software experience.
• AutoCAD, MicroStation experience required. Civil 3D and Revit experience an asset. BIM 360, Bluebeam and Navisworks experience preferred.
• Active member of the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Good knowledge of mining industry standards, codes and guidelines.
• Knowledge of mining-related processes a definite asset.
• Sound understanding of design, Saudi engineering codes and technical standards.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.).
• Experience on large multi-disciplinary EPCM projects preferred.

• Professional presentation external and internal to office. (IE: attire, engagement, meeting prep, etc.)
• Demonstrates presentation skills through internal and external technical presentations and white papers.
