Job summary

Confidential is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Material Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will manage the material approval process, coordinate with consultants and suppliers, and support project teams to ensure timely procurement and successful project execution across infrastructure and landscape projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Materials Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Material Engineer in construction.
• Experience with infrastructure, landscape, or civil projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials (concrete, asphalt, aggregates, steel, finishing materials).
• Experience with material submittals, technical evaluations, testing, and consultant approvals.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AASHTO, BS, SASO and other standards.
• Saudi Arabia or GCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs and material requirements for compliance.
• Prepare, submit, and track material submittals for approvals.
• Evaluate technical data, certifications, samples, and manufacturer docs.
• Coordinate with procurement, suppliers, consultants, and project teams to expedit material approvals.
• Verify materials meet specs and standards.
• Conduct material inspections and coordinate laboratory testing.
• Resolve material-related issues with design and site teams.
• Maintain records of approved materials and test reports.
• Support project teams in selecting cost-effective, compliant materials.
• Monitor material quality through procurement to installation.
• Ensure compliance with quality management procedures and company standards.
• Participate in project meetings on material approvals and coordination.
