Job summary

Penspen is seeking a Senior Loss Control Engineer to support FEED/EPC activities and various project teams in the energy sector.

The position requires 12+ years in safety and loss prevention for major Oil & Gas projects, with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard is advantageous; PMC experience is preferred. Location is Alkhafji, Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in safety/loss prevention for major Oil & Gas/Petrochemical projects.
• PMC experience for several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Pre FEED/EPC Preliminary Hazard Assessment recommendations are included in FEED/EPC deliverables.
• Check, review and approve all technical safety deliverables by FEED/EPC contractor.
• Review and approve Fire Water network calculation and fire water demand.
• Review and approve Fire & Gas detection systems.
• Review and approve passive fire protection systems.
• Review and approve fire water tanks, pumps, water mist systems.

Job Description

• The Senior Loss Control Engineer will report to the FEED/Technical Leader, if serving in the Core Technical team, or to the Project Head/Senior Project Engineer if serving within the PMT Teams. The Senior Loss Control Engineer will liaise with other discipline personnel in the Technical Core Team or PMT teams as appropriate to his area of service.

Other Responsibilities

• 1-Ensure Pre FEED/EPC Preliminary Hazard Assessment recommendations are included in FEED/EPC deliverables.
• Check, review and approve all technical safety deliverables by FEED/EPC contractor.
• Review and approve Fire Water network calculation and fire water demand

Required Experience Criteria In Years

• At least Twelve (12) years of experience; Six (6) years of them within the field of Safety / Loss prevention for major Oil and Gas/Petrochemical projects; or closely related project types.
• PMC experience at similar role for at least several years is preferable.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and procedures/practices is beneficial.
• Previous exposure to construction and commissioning phases is beneficial but not mandatory.

Computer literate with all MS Packages, particularly Word and Excel proficient.

Minimum Education Qualification Required

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or closely related Engineering discipline.

The job location will be based on Alkhafji , Saudi Arabia.
