Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Staff Engineer, Lighting Systems, to be the primary on-site owner for plant lighting topics. You will support launch readiness, production stabilization, issue resolution, and continuous improvement across lighting systems.

This hands‑on role requires mechanical design and hardware integration skills, supplier coordination, validation, and manufacturing support to meet engineering and program milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience with automotive lighting development and validation.
• Ability to read CAD models, drawings, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site technical owner for lighting systems during prototype builds and production ramp.
• Lead plant-related lighting topics, packaging, mounting, and end‑of‑line issues.
• Coordinate with global lighting teams, suppliers, and manufacturing for readiness.
• Lead root cause analysis and containment actions for lighting concerns.
• Support mechanical/hardware troubleshooting of lighting modules.
• Review CAD data, GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&Rs to support production execution.
• Track issues, ownership, timing, and corrective actions; provide status updates.
