Job summary

CodeNinja is seeking a Senior Java Backend Developer to design scalable microservices and APIs. You will work with Spring Boot or Quarkus, and manage APIs via IBM API Connect, contributing to Open Banking-enabled backend systems.

You will ensure high performance, security, and reliability, collaborating with product, QA, and DevOps teams. The role emphasizes clean code, testing, and agile delivery in a modern enterprise setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Java backend development.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Quarkus.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with API security and performance optimization.
• Java 11+ requirement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Spring Boot and/ Quarkus.
• Build, publish, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect (APIC).
• Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of backend systems and APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, and DevOps.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Follow best practices for clean code, testing, and system design.
• Containerize applications using Docker and deploy on Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Implement authentication/authorization using OAuth2/JWT standards.
• Write unit, integration, and contract tests.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, Agile ceremonies.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize microservices performance in production.
