Client of Taj HR is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Manager to establish and lead the company’s legal function in the industrial sector in Riyadh. The role requires hands-on in-house experience, broad expertise across corporate and commercial law, and a proactive stance on compliance and risk management.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with a bachelor degree in law and relevant Western postgraduate preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of in-house legal experience in industrial manufacturing, construction, or related sector.
• Strong expertise in corporate and commercial law, contract drafting and negotiation.
• Experience supporting investments, M&A, JVs, or corporate restructuring.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to lead a legal function.

• Establish and lead the company’s legal function, including policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice to management on day-to-day matters.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial, industrial, and construction contracts.
• Ensure compliance with laws, licensing, and industry-specific regulations.
• Coordinate due diligence for acquisitions, investments, and partnerships.
• Manage relationships with regulators and external counsel; build the legal team over time.
• Support governance, risk management, and dispute resolution.
