Job summary

Royal Cyber is seeking a Senior IBM Middleware & API Integration Production Support Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on enterprise middleware experience. You will provide L2/L3 production support for DataPower, API Connect, ACE/IIB and CP4I in high-availability environments.

The role requires strong incident management, RCA, and deployment experience, with expertise across DataPower MPGW/WSP/XML Manager/AAA, TLS/SSL and API security.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on enterprise middleware and production support experience.
• Deep expertise in IBM DataPower, IBM API Connect, ACE, IIB, CP4I and IBM MQ.
• Strong L2/L3 troubleshooting and production incident management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for IBM Middleware platforms including DataPower, API Connect, ACE, IIB and CP4I.
• Perform installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, migration and version upgrades of IBM Middleware platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues across middleware and API integration environments.
• Configure and support IBM DataPower objects including MPGW, WSP, XML Manager, AAA and load balancers.
• Troubleshoot REST/SOAP API integrations, XML/JSON message flows, IBM MQ and backend connectivity.
• Configure TLS/SSL, certificates, keystores, truststores and mutual TLS for secure API communication.
• Support IBM API Connect components including API Manager, Management, Developer Portal, Gateway and Analytics.
• Troubleshoot API deployment, synchronization, gateway connectivity and API security issues.
• Support App Connect / IIB integration servers, message flows and runtimes.
• Configure and troubleshoot App Connect HA, Active/Passive/Standby and Multi-Instance environments.
• Support CP4I/OpenShift-based integration environments, including pods, routes, services and deployments.
• Perform performance monitoring, tuning, capacity analysis and proactive health checks.
• Manage production deployments, configuration changes, patches and upgrades with change management.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement preventive actions for recurring issues.
• Participate in HA/DR, failover, backup/recovery and disaster-recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot complex end-to-end integration issues across DataPower API Connect App Connect/IIB IBM MQ backends.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, network, security and database teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and ensure SLA compliance.
• Maintain technical documentation, RCA reports and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on middleware administration.
