Job summary

Royal Cyber Inc. seeks a Senior IBM Middleware Production Support Engineer in Medina to provide L2/L3 support across DataPower, API Connect, ACE, IIB, CP4I and MQ.

You will install, configure, upgrade and monitor enterprise middleware platforms, ensuring high availability and secure API communications. The role requires deep troubleshooting, RCA, and collaboration with network, application, and database teams to restore critical services within SLA.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IBM Middleware, Integration & Production Support.
• Hands-on with DataPower, API Connect, ACE/IIB, CP4I.
• Experience with DataPower MPGW, WSP, XML Manager, AAA, Load Balancer.
• Strong TLS/SSL, certificates, keystores and mutual TLS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for IBM Middleware platforms (DataPower, API Connect, ACE, IIB, CP4I).
• Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, migration and upgrades of middleware platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues across environments.
• Configure and support IBM DataPower objects (MPGW, WSP, XML Manager, AAA, Load Balancer).
• Troubleshoot API integrations, TLS/SSL, and backend connectivity.
• Support IBM API Connect components (Manager, Developer Portal, Gateway, Analytics).
• Troubleshoot API deployment, gateway connectivity and API security issues.
• Support App Connect integration servers, deployments, and runtime issues.
• Configure App Connect HA/Active-Passive/Multi-Instance environments.
• Support CP4I OpenShift-based integration environments (pods, routes, services).
• Perform performance tuning, health checks and capacity analysis.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations and incident management.
• Maintain documentation and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

We are looking for a Senior IBM Middleware amp API Integration Production Support Engineer with 10 years of strong hands-on experience in enterprise middleware production support integration platforms and API management The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in IBM DataPower IBM API Connect IBM App Connect Enterprise ACE IBM Integration Bus IIB CP4I and IBM MQ with proven experience supporting complex high-availability production environments The candidate should be highly experienced in L2 L3 troubleshooting middleware administration installation configuration migration upgrades deployments performance tuning security HA DR and production incident management Strong practical knowledge of DataPower MPGW Web Service Proxy XML Manager AAA API Gateway TLS SSL certificates API security and App Connect HA architectures is essential The role requires an engineer who can independently troubleshoot complex end-to-end integration issues across API middleware network security and backend systems perform detailed RCA and work with multiple technical teams to restore critical production services within SLA.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide L2 L3 production support for IBM Middleware platforms including DataPower API Connect App Connect Enterprise ACE IIB and CP4I
• Perform installation configuration administration maintenance migration and version upgrades of IBM Middleware platforms
• Monitor troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues across middleware and API integration environments
• Configure and support IBM DataPower objects including Multi-Protocol Gateway MPGW Web Service Proxy WSP XML Manager User Agent Load Balancer and AAA
• Troubleshoot REST SOAP API integrations XML JSON message flows IBM MQ and backend connectivity
• Configure and troubleshoot TLS SSL certificates keystores truststores mutual TLS and secure API communication
• Support IBM API Connect components including API Manager Management Developer Portal Gateway and Analytics
• Troubleshoot API deployment synchronization gateway connectivity and API security issues
• Support IBM App Connect IIB integration servers message flows deployments and runtime issues
• Configure and troubleshoot App Connect HA Active Passive Active Standby and Multi-Instance environments
• Support CP4I OpenShift-based integration environments including pods routes services and deployments
• Perform performance monitoring tuning capacity analysis and proactive health checks
• Manage production deployments configuration changes patches and platform upgrades following change-management processes
• Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis RCA and implement preventive actions for recurring production issues
• Participate in HA DR failover backup recovery and disaster-recovery activities
• Troubleshoot complex issues across DataPower API Connect App Connect IIB IBM MQ backend integration flows
• Work closely with application infrastructure network security and database teams to resolve complex integration issues
• Participate in 24x7 production support on-call rotation and ensure SLA compliance
• Maintain technical documentation RCA reports architecture documents and operational procedures
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on middleware administration and production troubleshooting

• 10+ years of overall experience in IBM Middleware, Integration and Production Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with IBM DataPower, API Connect, App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IIB .
• Extensive experience in DataPower MPGW, WSP, XML Manager, AAA, User Agent and Load Balancer .
• Strong understanding of TLS/SSL communication, certificates, keystores, truststores and mutual TLS .
• Strong experience with API Connect architecture, API Gateway, API Manager, Developer Portal and API security .
• Strong experience with REST, SOAP, XML, JSON and enterprise API integration .
• Good hands-on experience with IBM MQ and message-based enterprise integration.
• Strong experience with App Connect Integration Servers, Integration Nodes/Groups and message flows .
• Experience implementing and supporting Active-Passive, Active-Standby, HA and Multi-Instance App Connect environments.
• Experience with CP4I and RedHat OpenShift is highly preferred.
• Strong Linux/Unix troubleshooting and administration skills.
• Good understanding of OAuth, JWT, API keys, authentication/authorization and XML Threat Protection .
• Experience with middleware installation, configuration, migration, patching, upgrades and production deployments .
• Strong experience in incident, problem and change management within enterprise production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to perform end-to-end transaction tracing and RCA .
• Experience supporting high-availability, disaster-recovery and mission-critical production environments .
• Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, performance tuning and capacity management.
• Experience working in 24x7 enterprise production support environments .
• Excellent communication, stakeholder-management and technical leadership skills.
• Ability to mentor junior team members and independently own critical production issues.
• ITIL certification / ITIL-based production support experience is an added advantage.
