Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Senior/Principal Hydrogeology Engineer to join the Ground Engineering team in Riyadh. The role provides technical leadership across groundwater projects, oversees multidisciplinary teams, and delivers hydrogeological assessments and groundwater management solutions.

You will lead dewatering design, analyze aquifer tests, and develop 3D groundwater models using MODFLOW+GMS/Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Civil Engineering (Water Resources) or related field.
• 6–12 years of experience in hydrogeological engineering, groundwater modelling, dewatering design, and groundwater management.
• Strong leadership, project management, and client-facing experience.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams on groundwater projects in KSA or the Middle East.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Provide technical leadership in groundwater assessments and modelling.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders; mentor staff.
• Develop dewatering designs and groundwater control solutions.
• Support mining hydrogeology tasks and long-term water management (advantage).
