Job summary

WSP is seeking an HSE Officer to supervise health, safety and environmental requirements across utility infrastructure projects in Riyadh. You will work with supervision and contractor teams to ensure compliance with HSE standards, local regulations, and WSP policies, while fostering a proactive safety culture on site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Diploma in OHS or related field with 5–8 years of HSE supervision experience in construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in HSE supervision within construction and infrastructure projects.
• NEBOSH IGC certification is mandatory.
• IOSH/OSHA or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of international HSE standards and risk management principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contractor compliance with HSE plans, procedures and site requirements.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations across activities.
• Identify unsafe conditions and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Review permits, risk assessments, and toolbox talks prior to works.
• Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Maintain records of inspections, incidents, and safety meetings.
• Participate in HSE meetings with project stakeholders and contractors.
• Promote safety awareness through site engagement and training.
• Coordinate with Resident Engineers and Contractor HSE teams to ensure safe work.
• Prepare HSE reports and recommend improvements.
