Job summary

Parsons in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Roads Design Engineer to lead highway design work within a PMO framework on major infrastructure projects in the KSA capital. You will review, develop, and optimize complex highway and interchange designs while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires extensive experience in geometric design and road safety, with a focus on delivering safe, constructible solutions and strong communication with clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 15 years of solid roadway design experience with emphasis on highways and interchanges.
• Ability to develop geometric road designs including alignments and junction layouts.
• Solid pavement design knowledge and road safety engineering principles.
• Experience coordinating with multi-discipline teams and stakeholders.
• Proven track record in road safety audits and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Reviews road/highway drawings, specifications and designs at concept and detailed stages.
• Performs advanced highway engineering tasks and develops design alternatives.
• Conducts cost-benefit analyses and supports decision-making with technical justifications.
• Prepares pavement design calculations and safety-related design elements.
• Coordinates with teams, resolves design issues, and supports approvals.
• Delivers presentations on complex design matters to stakeholders.
• Leads or participates in formal Road Safety Audits at key project stages.
