Job summary

Surbana Jurong invites expressions of interest for a Senior High Voltage Engineer to lead the design and delivery of HV/EHV power systems for energy and infrastructure projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will provide technical leadership on AIS/GIS substations, protection schemes, and related specifications, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.

We expect a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Power Engineering and 8–12 years of high voltage experience, with strong IEC/IEEE

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8-12 years of experience in high-voltage power engineering.
Strong experience in AIS/GIS substations and protection design.
Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, utility standards, and grid code requirements.
Experience with transmission, distribution, renewable energy, or major infrastructure projects.
Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Previous Middle East or Saudi Arabia project experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of HV and EHV substations, including AIS and GIS systems.
Prepare and review substation layouts, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and technical specifications.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, utilities, contractors, and stakeholders.
Undertake protection studies, equipment selection, and design reviews.
Support procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and technical assurance activities.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers and designers.
