Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a GIS Expert - Spatial Systems to lead complex spatial data activities, develop GIS applications, and manage project databases. This senior role drives GIS governance, data quality, and technical integration for multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate brings 13+ years in GIS, deep theory knowledge, and hands-on experience in designing databases, automating workflows, and delivering maps, dashboards, and analytics for large infrastructure

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, or computer science.
Minimum 13 years of professional GIS experience.
Strong GIS theory, data principles, cartography, and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

Develop detailed GIS work plans, schedules, procedures, and technical approaches for GIS project assignments.
Evaluate hardware, software, licensing, storage, and infrastructure requirements for GIS implementation.
Design GIS databases, spatial data structures, analytical workflows, and geoprocessing procedures.
Develop or oversee development of GIS applications tailored to specific project requirements.
Coordinate collection of field data required for spatial analysis and mapping.
Perform quality assurance reviews on GIS databases, spatial processing, mapping outputs, and project deliverables.
