Job summary

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented Field Engineer - Civil to join our Riyadh team. You will oversee civil projects on-site, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with specifications.

You will bridge design and construction, guiding field teams and resolving issues to keep projects on track. Responsibilities include site inspections, drawing interpretation, documentation, QA testing, and coordinating with contractors and project managers.

Qualifications

• Proven 10 years of experience as a civil engineering field role.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and quality assurance standards.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
• Analytical mindset with ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to plans and quality standards.
• Interpret and analyze drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to communicate requirements to field teams.
• Document site conditions, progress reports, and daily activities with accuracy.
• Identify and resolve construction-related issues and discrepancies promptly.
• Perform quality control testing and inspections on materials and structural elements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and local codes.
• Coordinate with contractors and project managers to maintain workflow and timelines.
• Maintain comprehensive project records including photos, measurements and reports.
• Operate and maintain field surveying and testing equipment.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to project management and design teams through reports.
