Senior Engineering Documentation Specialist - Oil & Gas EPC

Job summary

Met-T in Saudi Arabia seeks a Documentation/Records Engineer to prepare and maintain engineering documentation across the project lifecycle in line with SA Aramco standards. You will coordinate inputs from multiple disciplines and ensure timely submission of compliant documents.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or engineering diploma and at least eight years of relevant EPC/construction experience in large oil & gas projects, with strong communication and team skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (reports, design basis memoranda, design criteria, specifications, method statements, procedures, and as-built documentation).
• Review documents for grammar, terminology, template compliance, and alignment with Saudi Aramco standards and project requirements.
• Coordinate inputs with process, mechanical, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, HSE, project management and document control teams.
• Consolidate review comments, prepare client submission packages, maintain revision histories, and track document status.
• Support document uploads and transmittals, and maintain document registers through SharePoint, Aconex, EDMS, ProArc or designated systems.
• Compile vendor records, manufacturing records, test certificates, commissioning records, handover packages, as-built books, and O&M manuals.
• Ensure documentation complies with SAES/SAEP, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Include technical reports, design narratives, scopes of work, material requisitions, method statements, procedures, lessons learned, commissioning and startup documentation, and O&M manuals.
