Confidential Government in the Central Region of Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead maintenance of electrical equipment. The role requires familiarity with Saudi Energy procedures, standards and requirements, ensuring readiness and reliability of critical assets.

You will manage preventive and corrective maintenance teams, develop plans, diagnose faults, and prepare technical reports for management and authorities while enforcing safety standards and coordinating with SE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • 10+ years’ experience in electrical equipment maintenance.
  • Familiar with SE standards and Saudi energy procedures.
  • Membership in Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Experience with medium/high voltage systems (13.8kV/33kV/132kV) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of transformers and switchgear.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans per SE standards.
  • Diagnose faults and perform root cause analysis.
  • Manage site teams and monitor performance.
  • Perform insulation, resistance, and protection tests and document results.
  • Prepare periodic fault and technical reports for management and authorities.
  • Coordinate with SE representatives to ensure compliance.
  • Enforce safety standards in all maintenance activities.
  • Manage spare parts and participate in project handovers.

Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (Electrical Equipment Maintenance)

Location: Central Region – Riyadh and Surrounding Areas

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the maintenance of electrical equipment with experience of the Saudi Energy procedures, standards and requirements in the Central Region. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the readiness and reliability of electrical equipment, managing and leading preventive and corrective maintenance teams and fully complying with the standards and specifications of the Saudi Energy Company.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Leading and managing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance of electrical equipment (transformers, breakers, distribution panels, medium and high voltage switches, protection and control systems).
  • Develop and implement periodic maintenance plans and schedules in accordance with SE standards.
  • Diagnose electrical faults, perform root cause analysis, and propose appropriate technical solutions.
  • Managing site teams, assign tasks, and monitor performance.
  • Technical tests awareness of equipment (insulation, resistance, protection tests) and document results prepration.
  • Prepare periodic technical reports and fault reports and submit them to management and relevant authorities.
  • Coordinate with SE representatives to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Enforce occupational safety and health standards in all maintenance activities and ensure the safety of work teams.
  • Manage spare parts and materials to ensure availability for continuous maintenance operations.
  • Participate in the handover of new projects and review technical drawings and documents.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in electrical equipment maintenance, preferably on SE projects or similar energy sector projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of SE standards
  • Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Experience with medium and high voltage systems (13.8kV / 33kV / 132kV) is a preferred advantage.
  • Fluent in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel between project sites in the Central Region.

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage field teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond to emergency faults.
  • Strong analytical skills for fault diagnosis and decision making.
  • Effective communication skills with clients and official entities.
