Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is hiring a Design Lead (Electrical - AC) in Riyadh to review and execute engineering activities for AC SLDs, layouts, earthing, cable sizing, and transformer sizing for Solar PV plants. The role includes BIM model support and inter-department coordination across Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, and MEP.

The Design Lead will lead a team of design engineers and drafters, ensure on-time deliveries within budget, and support pre-bid engineering through commissioning and warranty,

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics.
• 10+ years in design of Solar PV power plants or power distribution.
• Experience leading design teams and coordinating with Civil/Structural, Instrumentation, MEP.
• Knowledge of national and international codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Timely delivery of engineering drawings and documents.
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for inter-departmental checks.
• Review design and sizing calculations of electrical equipment.
• Provide support to site execution and pre-bid activities.
• Lead a team of design engineers and draughtsmen.
• Review vendor deliverables and approvals.
• Ensure alignment to project schedule.
• Check pre-award evaluation of vendors.
• Support during commissioning and warranty periods.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain Management.
• Inspect equipment from vendors.
