Job summary

Lucid Motors in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer focused on E‑Motor and Inverter design. You will own design intent assembly requirements, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams in a high-volume production environment.

You will partner with Manufacturing to resolve issues, manage product changes, and apply DFMEA/PFMEA and Control Plans to sustain design integrity and reliability across Lucid’s electric propulsion systems.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in mechanical/automotive eng with 6–8+ years in design & release of vehicle attributes
• Experience solving product issues with industry-standard methods
• Experience in plant-based product engineering roles and E-Motor/Inverter troubleshooting
• Proficiency with E-Motor/Inverter assemblies and power electronics interfaces
• Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, DVP&R, DFM/DFA, RCA with cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication and documentation skills using Atlassian tools

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Manufacturing to resolve pending product issues and test specifications
• Solve complex E-Motor and Inverter problems at component/system level
• Lead product changes to address compatibility issues for high-volume production
• Ensure design intent assembly requirements are enforced on the line
• Contribute to risk assessments related to process deviations
• Represent product engineering in plant for E-Motor and Inverter subsystems
• Support new product launches and manage concessions without compromising design intent
• Assist with ramp activities and process improvements for large-scale production
