Job summary

Lucid Motors is seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer, Inverter to own design intent assembly for inverter power electronics and related EOL test specs. You will collaborate with core engineering to ensure validation and design intent are met, leading root-cause analysis and improvements across production lines.

The role emphasizes data-driven problem solving, ANSI/industry-standard methods, and support for high-volume ramp and new product launches. Strong cross-functional communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (5+ years automotive attribute design and release) or Master's degree (6+ years).
• Resident product engineering experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Experience developing or improving Power Electronics products.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt; Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Collegiate FSAE/BAJA or similar is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solve complex component/system problems for inverter power electronics and software interface.
• Data-driven root cause analysis and issue avoidance.
• Establish technical depth to troubleshoot inverter power electronics and test equipment.
• Define design intent assembly requirements for inverter power electronics on the production line.
• Support product launches and part concessions for power electronics and tests in manufacturing.
• Support high-volume ramp activities during product engineering.
• Advise on build process improvements for high-volume lines.
• Lead product change management with cross-functional teams.
