Job summary

WSP in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead major roads and highways design projects within our Roads & Highways team. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, engage with clients and government entities, and drive design excellence with strong stakeholder management.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 15+ years in highways design, with prior experience in international consultancies and GCC project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of roads/highways design experience.
• Experience with international engineering consultancies.
• Saudi Arabia/GCC project delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, management, and delivery of roads/highways design projects.
• Oversee multidisciplinary design teams to ensure coordinated execution.
• Provide technical leadership across highways, utilities, structures, and drainage.
• Ensure designs comply with client requirements and regulations.
• Drive design excellence through value engineering and continuous improvement.
• Lead client meetings, workshops, and presentations.
• Coordinate with government authorities and key stakeholders.
• Manage project programs, resources, budgets, and deliverables.
• Identify and manage project risks and interface challenges.
• Support business development with bids and proposals.
