TRACTEBEL is seeking a Senior Design Civil Engineer in Jeddah for a major Thermal Power project. The role demands a bachelor-level Civil Engineering degree approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers and at least ten years of related experience.

You will lead design reviews, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and oversee civil/structural/architectural design submissions. Strong knowledge of international standards, proficiency with design software, and excellent English communication

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in large Thermal Power Projects.
• Experience in design and Engineering review for EPC civil/structural/architectural documents.
• Proficient in design software and MS Office; good English communication.

Roles and responsibilities

The Senior Design Civil Engineer shall be responsible for preparation of specifications, design review coordination, design works management with the Contractor, Consultant, internal coordination with other disciplines, etc.

Experience and Skill set

The candidate shall be a bachelor engineering degree holder approved by Saudi Council of Engineers) in the Civil discipline having minimum of 10 years of related experience in large Thermal Power Projects.

The candidate should have experience in design and Engineering and review of EPC submitted Engineering review of the Civil, Structural and Architectural discipline related documents, including Master Documents List (MDL), design criteria, foundation drawings, design calculations, building layouts, architecture plans and elevations, roads, drainage layouts, studies, manuals, attend testing if required) and review test procedures and reports, Construction, Method statements for construction/installation, Vendor materials Procurement review, review of proposed vendors / suppliers design/drawings, design and field changes (as required), as built drawings, Risk assessment and mitigation, review of proposed vendors / suppliers design documents. IFC/AFC/AFI drawings, red markup and as built drawings, evaluation of claims and change orders and close out report of LSTK Steam Power Plant Gas Conversion Project including responsible for all the design review scope and activities of base and detailed Engineering submittals/ drawings/ documents as stipulated above in based and detailed engineering review.

The candidate shall have thorough knowledge of relevant International Standards, and should be proficient in the relevant design software. He shall be well versed in MS Office and familiar with MIS. He should have good English communication skill and leadership qualities.

Education and Previous Experience

Bachelor Civil Engineering degree holder approved by Saudi Council of Engineers and have a minimum of Ten (10) years of relevant experience in large Thermal Power Projects.
