Job summary

Saudi Aramco is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to lead the Joint Venture Development practice within the Project Development & Finance Law Department. The role focuses on structuring, negotiating, and documenting JV transactions and related financing in complex, international contexts.

You will advise management and internal clients on legal rights and obligations, supervise outside counsel, and coordinate across corporate teams from inception to closing.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree.
• Current admission to general practice before the highest court.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in a project development practice.
• Experience in both law firm and in-house roles, handling international JV transactions.
• Experience with structuring, drafting, negotiating, and leading transactions.
• Experience with international transactions principles.
• Experience in oil & gas, refining, chemicals, power or energy sectors (including renewables).

Responsibilities

• Lead legal activities for financing transactions including bank debt, joint venture financings, and capital markets; structure, negotiate and document.
• Advise Management and internal clients on legal rights and obligations and applicable statutory requirements.
• Assist Law Management and other attorneys in identifying and addressing legal problems.
• Liaise with outside counsel to negotiate and document transactions.
